Approach
Thanks to the experience of collaborating with the poorest Vietnamese communities, GTV has matured over the years the belief that in order for real change to take place, it is necessary accompaniment of long duration. The long-term stay on a specific territory allows to improve the knowledge of the area, to integrate interventions with the development strategies of the local communities and government, and to assess/monitor the project's impact in the medium and long term.
In addition, is necessary that an intervention is able to develop in different directions, to act fully on the deficiencies that are the basis of poverty: education, training, agriculture, environment, water and sanitation. It is only with such integrated approach, an enduring presence on the territory and the establishment of a relationship of trust and collaboration with the community of beneficiaries, that GTV believes can help trigger development processes and concrete durability.
