In 2018, at the request of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, GTV began operating in the Ha Giang region, after years of work in other parts of Vietnam. The region is located in the north, on the border with China and is one of the poorest in Vietnam and difficult to reach as it consists of rocky mountains. The population belongs to 90% ethnic minorities who speak dialects other than Vietnamese.
In particular, GTV now cooperates on an ongoing basis with the Xin Man District, with which it has carried out projects for children, women, water, agriculture and health.
