The program of the SAD GTV with children and school-age children in the province of Bac Giang, one of the poorest areas of Vietnam. The living conditions of families and children are very difficult, often lacking access to even basic necessities. Besides being a country that lives on subsistence farming, the area on the border with China, is afflicted by the scourge of trafficking in human beings. It often happens that young women are kidnapped by the local underworld, in agreement with the Chinese, to be forced to marriages or inserted in prostitution abroad. Children who are left without mothers are often very young and, in many cases, this leads them to be abandoned by her father. Which leaves them orphans, together with his brothers. The community tries to help them, the neighbors or a relative welcome children at home, but being extremely poor they need also the child to work in the fields with them. What happens, then, in most cases, is that children can not go to school to help the family during the day in the fields.
Another significant problem for the diet that, in these areas, it includes almost solely rice, causing severe malnutrition, resentful in a particular way by their children.
Following the logic of integrated approach, the SAD supports and ensures the school attendance for children alongside projects and micro-actions that GTV carries with families.
