Citizens of the World
GTV works with Global Citizenship Education projects, helping to create citizens of the world.
GTV’s vision states “build a bridge between East and West…”. If the vision clearly expresses the background within which to work, and if relationship and reciprocity represent part of the association founding values, therefore Trentino is in order.
Starting from international cooperation projects, from the experience about the themes dealt with in Vietnam, and from the testimonies of people who meet in the villages where they operate, GTV builds specific education proposals for global citizenship.
Mentioning the main online encyclopaedia “who defines himself as citizen of the world is the one who believes that the inhabitants of the Earth form a single population”. Creating awareness of being a part of an individual community is a specific responsibility when taking the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a reference. The topics in which GTV is compared within other international cooperation projects in Vietnam, are exactly those of the Agenda for Sustainable Development. Hence it is possible to start creating Global Citizenship Education projects, individual actions and materials destined to citizen of the world living in Trentino.
BUT WHAT IS MEANT BY GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION?
“Global citizenship education aims to provide each inhabitant of the planet, the possibility to know and understand, during his lifetime, the issue related to global development, declining their meaning locally and personally, as well as exercise their rights and responsibilities of citizens, thus contributing to its progress towards a greater justice and sustainability”

Festival "Open eyes"
A project ideated with ACAV and resulting from the collaboration with the festival of ethical photography, to raise the awareness on global environmental problems through photography.
Volare
A project that aims to promote the activation of youth in voluntary organizations by discussing together on issues of active citizenship.
School Projects
Proposals of educational programs and activities for classes of primary, middle and high school
Paths to Sustainability
A project whose goals are to raise the awareness of the citizenship of Trento about the sustainable development and to promote
sustainable ways of living.
