Arianna has been an intern at GTV in the months of November and December 2025. During this period, she had the opportunity to get closer to the world of international cooperation, engaging with the association’s activities and gaining a concrete understanding of how an NGO operates. Here is her experience:

My name is Arianna Cainelli, and I am a student of Political Science, International Relations, and Human Rights at the University of Padua. To complete my academic path, I had the opportunity to do an internship at GTV, with the goal of approaching the world of international cooperation and observing firsthand the impact of the projects carried out.

During the internship, I worked in various areas. I was involved in communication, writing updates on the association’s projects: an activity that allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of how the projects work and better comprehend their impact. I also collaborated in the area of sponsored child programs (SAD), updating supporters’ information and coordinating some daily activities, such as translating letters between children and sponsors. This experience showed me how even a relatively small contribution can create a significant impact on the supported communities, highlighting the effectiveness of international cooperation programs.
Additionally, I participated in practical and social activities, cooking for the charity dinner and helping organize the Christmas market, gaining direct insight into the association’s activities and community involvement.

This internship allowed me to develop new skills, such as intercultural communication and the management of concrete projects, and provided the opportunity to observe  the real impact of the association’s work, both in Italy and in Southeast Asia.
The experience was fundamental for my personal and professional growth, confirming how stimulating and rewarding it is to work in a context where every activity, big or small, contributes concretely to making a difference.
