The trainings on healthy diet in Ban Ngo and Nam Dan have started
Mar 12 2025As part of the project "Food Security for Families and Preschools in Ban Ngo and Nam Dan', training sessions on heathy diet have taken place.
In total, four trainings have been organized, two for each community involved, with the participation of 120 recipients, including female farmers previously involved in the project, as well as parents, teachers and cooks from the targeted schools (Tao Thuong, Tao Ha e Dan Khao, Ngam Lam e Nam Lu). The trainings will be held during weekends from February to March. The first session involved 30 of the 60 women who had participated in the training on agricultural and zootechnical techniques in September and October 2024.
Each session lasts two days and includes both theoretical and practical components. The objective of the courses is to analyze the current diet of adults and children, in order to provide participants with comprehensive training on key topics, such as the essential nutrients to the growth of children and the well being of adults, the best sources for obtaining them and safe cooking techniques that preserve the nutritional properties of food. Participants, indeed, will have the chance to experiment with new cooking techniques and principles of an healthy diet introduced by the training experts. At the end of each training session, every participant is asked to complete a questionnaire to help evaluate the learning outcomes and their overall satisfaction with the course.
